According to old South Tyrolean tradition, the blue Schurz was - and still is in part today - a fixed component of the work wardrobe, both professionally and privately. The Schurz is also gladly worn for working in the garden, when cooking, at many a barbecue or the typical South Tyrolean "Marende".
