The traditional Speckbrettl is an essential part of the South Tyrolean "Marende" (snack). Not only as a working tool, but also to stylishly present bacon or other specialties at the table. Please do not wash the wooden board with water or put it in the dishwasher; clean it with a damp cloth instead. The wood is treated with a specially suitable oil. If the wood becomes rough over time or due to improper care, simply sand it down and re-oil it (with conventional cooking oil).
