The traditional bacon board is an essential part of a South Tyrolean Marende :) Not only as a working tool, but also for serving bacon or other specialties in a stylish way. Please do not wash the wooden board with water or put it in the dishwasher; instead, clean it with a damp cloth. The wood is treated with a suitable oil. Should the wood become rough over time or due to improper care, simply sand it down and re-oil it (with conventional cooking oil).
