Description

We are particularly excited about this collaboration: SEPP' x Kellerei Meran. Together with Kellerei Meran, we searched for the perfect white wine for the South Tyrolean Marende, and found it with this Pinot Blanc DOC. We simply call it WEIß.

Authentic, lively, and fresh – this best describes this Pinot Blanc. The Pinot Blanc grape thrives particularly well on the barren soils and sunny slopes directly here in the Merano area and in Vinschgau. It has been successfully cultivated in South Tyrol for over 150 years and has risen to become the leading white grape variety in recent years. A true all-rounder.

SOILS: Morainic debris, light, permeable, humic, slightly clayey sand
AGE OF VINES: 5 - 30 years
AGING: Alcoholic fermentation in small stainless steel tanks. Partial malolactic fermentation. Subsequent storage and aging on fine lees for approx. 5 months.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES: Brilliant greenish-yellow, delicate, fresh aroma of green apples and citrus fruits, rich and balanced on the palate, with a pronounced lively acidity.
